A day use only beach, Pfeiffer Beach is nestled in the heart of Big Sur and one of the more popular ones in the area. One of the most scenic beaches is Sand Dollar Beach, which also happens to be the longest stretch of sand along the Big Sur coast. One of the few beaches that face west, Butterfly Beach is also secluded and is nestled in a very upscale neighborhood. Carpinteria State and City Beaches affords visitors two beaches in one. The State Beach allows camping while the City Beach is a great spot to pack a lunch and take in the gorgeous scenery.
