Southern California Ski Vacation

Cross-country skiers find excellent runs at these resorts, as well as in Palm Springs. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway takes Nordic skiers to a trail system on Mount San Jacinto at an elevation of 8,500 feet, where you can ski through pine forest above the warm valley. Bear Mountain The Park at Bear Mountain is Southern California's ultimate mountain snowboard and freestyle resort. The Park boasts 100 jumps - with step-ups/downs, tables, hips, vaders, spines and rollers - 60 jibs, rails, boxes and Southern California's only Superpipe. At its base, The Scene has revolving jibs and a snowskate park. Bear Mountain is also home to challenging steeps including Geronimo, which begins atop Bear Peak at 8,805 feet and Silver Mountain with the perfect pitches of Exhibition, Quicksilver and Rip Cord.
