Lassen Volcanic National Park. Experience a unique cross-country ski or snowshoe adventure on 160 square miles of spectacular volcanic terrain at Lassen Volcanic National Park. During the winter months, cross-country skiers and snowshoers are rewarded by unique sights of volcanic and thermal-springs, bubbling fumaroles and mud pots, uninhabited conifer forests and mountain meadows, and the impressive Lassen Peak. Park rangers conduct guided tours to the snowbound thermal centers.
