Recognized for its widely diverse terrain and deep snowfall, Alpine Meadows offers 2,400 acres with six wide-open powderbowls, steep chutes, gentle glades and endless cruisers that make Alpine Meadows the locals' favorite. Heavenly Ski Resort. Overlooking the south shore of Lake Tahoe, Heavenly Ski Resort is one of North America's largest ski areas. Heavenly features 4,800 acres of ski and snowboard terrain, an expansive network of trails and lifts, 360 inches of snow and breathtaking views of the towering peaks of the Sierra. Heavenly has the longest vertical drop in the Tahoe Basin with a mountain descent five miles long.
